Lifting My Luck, Watering My Wealth, and Freeing My Chi

Several years ago I received a tabletop fountain as a house warming gift. Having never heard of Feng Shui before, I placed it by the front door entry because it seemed to fill that space nicely. Within a few months I got a new job which paid $10,000 more than my old job. I had no idea that area was my career corner of my house. Also, because I had just moved, my house was clean, uncluttered, and organized. Apparently I had free flowing chi and didn’t know just how free my chi was.

One day I was in a bookstore in the checkout line waiting my turn when I picked up a random book to read and pass the time. It was a book about Feng Shui. Of course I flipped to the wealth chapter; who wouldn’t? I was amazed what I read about water features and the career section. When my turn came up in the checkout line, I set the book back on the shelf and proceeded to check out. That book must have had quite some energy because I sat in the parking lot debating with myself to go back in. Yep, the energy was too strong and I went back in. When I got home I skimmed through the book but didn’t really read chapter for chapter. After a few months I lost interested and didn’t think too much about it.

Within a few years my home became “lived in” so certain pockets were starting to clutter. Then one day I made a huge blunder on my job and almost got fired. I was suspended until further notice. Devastated and desperate I remembered the book I had purchased. That night it was studied cover to cover. The more I read, the more I got curious. I went online, researched everything I could. Wouldn’t you know the most cluttered section of my house just happened to be the Knowledge and Self-Cultivation section? The next morning I got busy de-cluttering. I cleaned, cleared, and organized that section; even went as far as shampooing the carpet. I even cleaned out the fish tank with my nine pet gold fish. Boy, did it need it. I also made sure my career section was spotless and did some light house cleaning in other sections of my house. Within a few minutes of finishing, I fell into the sofa to rest and check emails. Ding! In popped a new email. It was from the office saying my boss wanted to sit down and talk to work things out. Wow! What timing? We met the next day and were able to work it out. Thirteen years later I’m still with that company. Now the Feng Shui light bulb in my head is always on. I try to keep it in mind when I’m gardening, moving furniture around, or shopping for clothes.

Just last week, our office moved up a floor in our bldg. My boss asked me where I want my workstation. My reply was “Let me research my Feng Shui sitting direction”. I downloaded an app on my phone to find my sitting direction. I picked out the ideal cubicle and got myself moved in. While researching more about decorating the office with Feng Shui, I stumbled upon a contest to write about my Feng Shui story. I’m sitting here at my new desk, facing my preferred direction, writing this testimonial and hoping I got my direction right. Time will tell if I win the contest.

Carrie, all I can say is wow! What a wonderful story. It just goes to show that if you are open and willing then the perfect answer comes at just the right time.

Thank you very much!

Be well,

"In our deepest moments of struggle, frustration, fear, and confusion, we are being called upon to reach in and touch our hearts. Then, we will know what to do, what to say, how to be. What is right is always in our deepest heart of hearts. It is from the deepest part of our hearts that we are capable of reaching out and touching another human being. It is, after all, one heart touching another heart."
